12,000 Google employees will shortly be laid off. Alphabet Inc. just recently made this announcement. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, expressed regret about the layoffs. The Alphabet Workers Union has expressed anger about this. The business makes enormous profits despite their gripes. Despite this, layoffs are forcing thousands of young people into the dark. which is in no way desirable.

Google’s action was dubbed “one-handed” by the Alphabet Workers Union (AWU), which asserted that such treatment of employees is unacceptable. This business generated a profit of $17 billion just last year. By firing 12 thousand people there, they hope to get some relief. This non-governmental labour organisation has more than 1100 members, and Alphabet employees put forth a lot of effort. They must put up endless effort. But there is no worry about their security. In the coming days, the entire group of workers known as Google will have made such a cruel choice to benefit the shareholders. The announcement stated that the news “makes us even more unified in strengthening the working environment of the organisation.”

Microsoft, owned by Bill Gates, recently stated that it would be eliminating 11,000 positions. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, then informed the company’s staff by email. He stated: “We regret greatly having to make the decision to lay off almost 12,000 workers.” The outcome of this process will depend on how well the various departments’ staff perform. The team in the US has already received this information via email. Soon, staff members in other nations will also get email. “Because the email must be sent in keeping with their policies, it is taking a tiny bit longer.”

By terminating 12,000 employees, the workforce will have decreased by 6%. Google added that this choice was made with the future competitive market in mind. However, despite making such a sizable profit, the workers’ association questioned why the workers were forced into unemployment. The business hasn’t yet responded to this inquiry, though.
