What Facebook did?

Several guidelines must be observed while sharing images to Facebook. More explicit photographs are frequently prohibited or taken down from the website. This strictness was, though, somewhat relaxed. This bar allows you to publish pictures with bare breasts. The Meta Oversight Board reached this conclusion.

The platform’s Oversight Board suggested modifying Facebook’s guidelines so that it would be more acceptable for women and transgender persons to share pictures of their bare breasts.

Numerous women protested in the streets against Facebook’s ban on photographs of exposed breasts. Facebook allegedly treats “porn stars” more leniently than mothers who exclusively breastfeed their children.

The Oversight Board suggested that they alter the regulation by photographing Meta in response to a couple’s complaint. The duo describes themselves as non-binary transgender. They claimed to have uploaded images of their bare breasts to Facebook and Instagram in 2021 and 2022. However, they hid their nipples. They discussed how transgender persons look after their health in their writings. But Meta took down those posts.

The Oversight Board has requested increased attention to how the subject policy impacts everyone. This time, Meta will permit some users to submit these images.
