On Saturday, Atiq Ahmed, an Uttar Pradesh gangster with at least 100 criminal records, and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead on video while being transported for a medical check-up in Prayagraj.
Atiq Ahmad, a gangster-turned-politician, and his brother Khalid Azeem alias Ashraf’s bodies were given to the family members on Sunday following the post-mortem so they could conduct the funeral ceremonies.
On Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh government formed a three-member judicial commission to investigate the deaths of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Khalid Azeem alias Ashraf.
