Aadhaar verification is critical. To avail of all benefits, services, and subsidies under Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016, one must verify Aadhaar to ensure that the Aadhaar number is legitimate and has not been deactivated.

Every citizen of India receives an Aadhaar card from the Unique Identification Authority of India. That 12-digit number is now one of every Indian’s most crucial address and identity documents. However, there is a verification process in place to ensure that the card you are using is real. Aadhaar verification is critical for everyone. To avail of all benefits, services, and subsidies under Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016, one must verify Aadhaar to ensure that the Aadhaar number is legitimate and has not been deactivated.

Why is it possible to deactivate your Aadhaar number?

Your Aadhaar number may be deleted for a variety of reasons. If it has not been used for three years in a row, there is a discrepancy or the biometrics are inaccurate. Also, if you have more than one name in your account and your child does not update biometrics at the age of 5 or 15, your Aadhaar number can be cancelled. As a result, UIDAI suggests checking Aadhaar to ensure that all of the information is correct.

There are several ways to verify your Aadhaar number, both offline and online. You can also validate your Aadhaar card by visiting the UIDAI website, calling the toll-free number 1947, or visiting an Aadhaar Enrollment Centre. However, the simplest method of Aadhaar verification is to use a QR code. You can verify your Aadhaar by scanning the QR code on your Aadhaar card, e-Aadhaar, or Aadhaar PVS. There you will find your bio information: name, gender, date of birth, address, photo, digital signature, and so on.

How does a QR code verify Aadhaar?

  • First, you must download and install the mAadhaar app from the smartphone’s Google Play Store or App Store.
  • Launch the app and tap on the QR code icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Scan the printed QR Code on your Aadhaar Card, e-Aadhaar, or Aadhaar PVC using your phone’s camera. Then double-check it.

The app will now scan the QR code and display the Aadhaar holder’s biographical information. Name, gender, date of birth, address, and a photo, for example, will be displayed. UIDAI has digitally signed and authenticated all of this information. You can also verify Aadhaar online by visiting the UIDAI website and inputting your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
